There is a girl who lives across the sea
quite literally
She lives on the beach, but still hides from the sun
for she believes if the sun sees through her beauty to her hate
so will others

I know a girl who lives across the sea
she happens to look a lot like me
yet I am happy
and she is not

The girl across the sea
looks down at her feet
thinking of the things that weigh her down
as she walks into the water

The girl beneath the sea
who used to be beautiful
looks up to the surface
when she's a hundred feet under

V.
The girl who used to live across the sea
washes up to the shore at my feet
a hundred feet below
a hundred years ago
